AI Governance

AI governance refers to the frameworks, policies, processes, and oversight structures that determine how AI systems are developed, deployed, and monitored within an organization. It encompasses technical controls, human accountability, regulatory compliance, and the organizational structures that ensure AI systems behave as intended over time. Effective AI governance is not a one-time exercise; it requires continuous visibility into how systems perform in production, not just at the point of deployment.

The governance structures surrounding AI systems inform every evaluation eticas does, because the gap between what a governance framework says and what a deployed system actually does is where most risk resides.
