Our CEO at the Launch of the UK's AI Assurance Stakeholder Consortium
July 23rd, 2026
Eticas's Founder & CEO, Dr. Gemma Galdon-Clavell, will join the launch of the UK's AI Assurance Stakeholder Consortium in London, convened by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and led by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
The Consortium brings together standards bodies, research institutes, and independent experts — including the UK Accreditation Service, the British Standards Institution, the National Physical Laboratory, the Ada Lovelace Institute, and the Chartered Quality Institute — to lay the professional foundations of a recognised AI assurance profession in the UK. Its first-year mandate covers a voluntary code of ethics for AI assurance practitioners, a skills and competencies framework, and a map of the data and information access requirements assurance providers need from their clients.
Gemma will attend as an observer, connecting with other professionals working at the frontier of AI assurance and accountability. For Eticas.ai, whose work over more than a decade has centred on independent, evidence-based evaluation of AI systems, this kind of national infrastructure-building is exactly the direction the field needs: shared standards, clear skills pathways, and interoperable practice.
